Financial Aid (FAFSA) for fall 2020 classes, will be released July 31, 2020.  Orders will be filled once your financial aid becomes available on or after this date.  Please allow 24-48 hours for orders to be filled (business days). Financial Aid may be used to purchase textbooks/study aids, school supplies (backpacks, pens/pencils, lanyards, paper, etc.), computer accessories, and computers. 

UPS 

You may expect delays regarding your shipment.  Contingency plans are in place and UPS is working to move shipments to their final destinations as quickly as conditions permit.  Please note that "UPS Service Guarantee" is currently suspended for all shipments.

 

   Payment Options

1.     If you have FAFSA (Financial Aid), choose the “Financial Aid” option in the payment section.  Your books will be charged to the appropriate account.

Due to COVID-19, we are offering a virtual buyback this semester. If your book is eligible to buy back, you will receive a prepaid shipping label (free).  Once the wholesaler receives and accepts the condition of your book, payment will be sent to you.  To see if your book is eligible, please click on the link below.

Financial Aid FAQ

If you have questions about using your financial aid in the bookstore, we have answers!

Q: What can I purchase with financial aid?
A: Textbooks - (1) Computer, tablet or laptop – calculators – USB drives – headphones – backpacks – pens/pencils – lanyards – notebooks/paper – study materials – computer accessories and more! Please call the Bookstore for additional information.

Q: When will financial aid be available?
A: You must first complete all financial aid requirements and have your awards finalized and ready for disbursement.  Prior to the start of the semester, finalized awards will be reported as an anticipated payment on  your student account.  Your available financial aid (excluding work-study) must exceed all other Butler charges on your student account before applying towards Bookstore charges.  You may use awarded financial aid no sooner than 10 business days prior to the start date of your enrolled classes each semester.  Please contact the Financial Aid office if you have questions about the status of your financial aid.

Q: What if I don’t have enough financial aid to cover the cost of my textbooks?
A: Check with the Financial Aid office to see if any other available aid can be accepted.  If no other aid is available, an alternate form of payment will be requested.  If you placed your order online, you will receive an email (via the email address you provided when you placed your order) to inform you of the situation.

Q: If I order online, when will my books be shipped?
A: Once Financial Aid has been approved, your order will be shipped within 24 – 48 hours.

Q: When is the last day I can use financial aid to cover the cost of textbooks?
A: It is not advised for a student to begin classes without the required books and materials.  You will be able to use financial aid to purchase books and supplies until the week prior to your scheduled disbursement for that semester.  This date may fluctuate due to individual course enrollment.  Please contact the Financial Aid office when enrolling in 12, 8, 5 or 4 week classes.
